The Kingdom of Ravioli is in a time of peace and stability. However, the Kingdom of Ravioli has two classes: the rich, powerful ruling class of Italian masks, and the lower, labor class of the Korean masks.
Climate: temperate (all four seasons)
Environment: mountains border the land, grass, trees
Agriculture (farmers = Korean masks), pay all taxes to Italian masks
Queen is lavish spender
Very harsh on the farmers
There is no violent revolution because of the enforcers, but there is some resent from the farmers to the higher class.
RED MASKS = lowest of low
HISTORY:
The Kingdom of Ravioli was founded by King Spumoni Ravioli in 1100 AD. Rumor says that he was exiled from former nation from which he came (as a merchant) after having an affair with the princess of the kingdom. He left and found an uninhabited valley between two mountain ranges and created the Kingdom of Ravioli. He at first allowed travelers, wanderers, exiled persons, and other people who came by his kingdom to stay in order to build up the population. Because he allowed such a mix mash of people to stay in his kingdom, a class system formed between the country people (ones with more simple, round, Korean masks) and the city people (ones with delicate, ornate, expensive masks). King Ravioli had an Italian mask himself, so he obviously supported the Italian masks having more rights than the Korean masks. After he died, this class system was kept as a tradition while the differences between the two classes became more and more extreme. There was one attempt for revolution at one point, but the Korean classes were so heavily suppressed that following generations of the lower class had no hope at all for change.
Now, the current ruler, Queen Carnival Ravioli, who killed her own husband 10 years earlier in her greed for power (secretly of course – the jester is the only one who knows), is the sole ruler of Ravioli Kingdom. Princess Isabella has an arranged engagement with Angelo Benitto, a prince from the Kingdom of Tiramisu. However, Princess Isabella hates Benitto’s guts and instead falls in love with Clueless, a peasant in the kingdom. The Queen is highly against this and tries anything to stop it. Right at that time, foreigners from a far away land come to the island and begin to upturn the way of life of the residents of the Kingdom of Ravioli. Drama ensues.
